How It Works

ArtUP starts with students, not with a marketing team. The collection is shaped by the visual memories students choose to submit and validate together. That creates a direct line from lived experience to the art.

1

Students submit the memories that matter

Students upload original photographs of the places, details and experiences that capture their time at University. A library corner, a limestone detail, the waterfront, a familiar street, a campus ritual or any image that holds real meaning.

2

The student community validate the images

Submissions move into the Campus Canvas enabling students to review and indicate which ones resonate with them. The purpose is simple: identify the visual memories that feel most authentical of their University experience.

3

Artists interpret — they do not simply reproduce

Selected images become creative source material. Participating artists interpret the subject in their own style — contemporary, abstract, impressionistic, street-influenced, figurative or mixed media — creating art with both a connection to place and an independent artistic identity.

4

The collection is presented to graduates and families

Finished works are catalogued and presented through ArtUP Life. Graduating students and Alumni can re-discover the story behind the image and select a piece that ignites feelings and inspires for a life of continued success.

5

The memory becomes part of the life ahead

The result is more than a picture of campus. They are student-validated memories transformed into art — and, for selected original fine-art works, an heirloom of the university experience that can remain meaningful for decades.

For families of future graduates

You do not need to understand the entire submission and voting process to appreciate the result. It simply means the collection begins with authentic student experience. The artwork is informed by what students themselves say deserves to be remembered.
